{"id":186,"date":"2022-05-26T11:59:09","date_gmt":"2022-05-26T10:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/ahsc-journal\/?page_id=186"},"modified":"2023-02-08T16:31:19","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T16:31:19","slug":"dissertations-literature-reviews","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/ahsc-journal\/dissertations-literature-reviews\/","title":{"rendered":"Dissertations &#8211; Literature Reviews"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">Like the primary dissertations, we are aware that the way they are structured and presented is in agreement with your supervisor, but as a general guide, we expect literature reviews to follow this kind of structure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abstract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Introduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Literature Review with research aims<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Method \u2013 in line with how you have structured the method with your supervisor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reference List<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">We do not demand a word count for the dissertation submission because you work will likely already be established with agreed word counts, but we do expect a well-balanced submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">For purposes of consistency, we would like your submission to follow the specific criteria below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use New Times Roman, size 12 throughout.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that any technical language is explained or defined clearly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please use single quotation marks, except where \u2018a quotation is \u201cwithin\u201d a quotation\u2019. Please note that long quotations should be indented without quotation marks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please ensure that you check your work for any offence language or words that can be misleading that might cause offence.
