This toolkit has been developed by the Tackling the Blues team as part of funding received from the Office for Students and Research England to support students’ engagement in knowledge exchange (KE). The aim of this toolkit is to offer insight into how higher education institutions and community organisations can work together to provide KE opportunities for higher education students, with a particular focus on sport, the arts, education and mental health.

The toolkit also outlines a transferable student-focused model of KE which enhances the student experience, supports students’ transition into highly skilled work, and supports the health and wellbeing of students.

Over 3,000 Edge Hill University students engaged in TtB project during the funding period, and this toolkit is underpinned by their experiences, knowledge and insights.
