On 15 November 2022, the Culture, Power & Inclusion Research Group<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Institute for Social Responsibility and Migration Working Group North West, organised a webinar and book launch to discuss Ruxandra Trandafoiu\u2019s new book The Politics of Migration and Diaspora in Eastern Europe. Media, Public Discourse & Policy <\/em>(Routledge 2022). Professor Jo Crotty, the Director of Knowledge Exchange at Edge Hill University, introduced the book’s themes and the event’s three speakers. Ruxandra Trandafoiu talked about the new challenges that Eastern Europe faces in relation to migration, displacement and mobility and was joined in a discussion about a future Eastern Europe research agenda by Florian Bieber, Professor of Southeast European History and Politics and Director of the Centre for Southeast European Studies at the University of Graz, Austria, and Kathy Burrell, Professor of Migration Geographies at the University of Liverpool, UK. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
