Sarah Hunt is Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer on the undergraduate Physical Education and School Sport degree in the department of Sport and Physical Activity.
Sarah has taught Physical Education in a Secondary School context and this experience, coupled with her coaching experience, inspired her research in safeguarding and child protection policy and practice and adult-child ‘touch’ practices within a school context. Sarah’s research has contributed towards her successful incorporation of subject and pedagogic research as part of an integrated approach to academic and professional practices.
Sarah has twice been awarded Edge Hill’s student-led staff teaching award and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has also provided opportunities for the support of high-quality student learning amongst her colleagues.
