{"id":243,"date":"2019-08-08T11:01:58","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T11:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/cpss\/?page_id=243"},"modified":"2020-08-11T10:02:55","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T10:02:55","slug":"voice","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/cpss\/projects\/voice\/","title":{"rendered":"VOICE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-heading\">Voices for truth and dignity \u2013 combatting sexual violence in European Sport through the voices of those affected.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image logo\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/cpss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/239\/2019\/08\/voice-logo.png\" alt=\"VOICE logo\" class=\"wp-image-252\" width=\"250\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on his previous research working with \u2018survivors\u2019 of child sexual abuse in sport, in early 2015, CPSS director Mike Hartill initiated a consortium application to the European Union Erasmus+ programme. This application was successful and became the <a href=\"http:\/\/voicesfortruthanddignity.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">VOICE project<\/a> which ran between January 2016 and June 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VOICE is based on the principle that policy and\ninitiatives generated from the accounts of those that have experienced sexual\nviolence in sports settings will be highly valued and, therefore, most\neffective in \u2018reaching\u2019 the sports community and promoting knowledge-transfer,\neducation and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VOICE culminated with a conference in Cologne where many men and women chose to speak out about their personal experiences of sexual violence and contribute to a ground-breaking research study that has also generated&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/voicesfortruthanddignity.eu\/resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">educational resources<\/a>&nbsp;for the
