The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and led by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Period:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><em>May 2024 \u2013 June 2025<br><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Safeguarding the Future project aims to establish mechanisms in Kosovo, Estonia, and Bulgaria that ensure a safe, positive and fun basketball experience for all involved in basketball, with a special emphasis on children and young adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The central goal of the project is to take action to protect people from all types of violence, abuse, or harm abuse in basketball by creating the first safeguarding strategies for the national basketball federations in Kosovo, Estonia, and Bulgaria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Melanie Lang is an expert consultant to the Basketball Federation of Kosovo on the project.
