Royal College of General Practitioners supports over 2,400 members, Fellows, AiTs, and students across Merseyside and Cheshire in their career and continued professional development. Their faculty meets four times per year in February, June, September, and November, usually via Zoom.


The Scottish Deep End Project works in general practises serving the 100 most deprived populations in Scotland, based on the proportion of patients on the practise list with postcodes in the most deprived 15% of Scottish data zones. Recently, a GPs and the Deep End event was run in Merseyside with the aim of expanding the project within this region.
NIHR
The work of The Clinical Research Network (North West Coast) allows new medicines, treatments and care to be developed to help to improve health and social care outcomes across the NHS and social care sector. Their work provides a toolkit of resources to help care homes make the most of research and researchers to set up and run studies effectively and collaboratively in care homes.
LSC Integrated Care Board
The goal of the Integrated Care Board is to join up health and care services, improve people’s health and wellbeing, and make sure everyone has the same access to services and gets the same outcomes from treatment.
NIHR Applied Research Collaboration in the North West Coast
NIHR aims to improve outcomes for patients and the public by bringing together health and social care providers, academics, the public, universities and local authorities. Its vision is to improve the quality, delivery and efficiency of health and care services. In turn, this will reduce health inequalities and increase the sustainability of the care system.
NIHR Academy
The Academy is responsible for the development and coordination of NIHR training for academics, career and research capacity development. It is one of the pivotal factors in attracting, training, and supporting health care researchers to tackle the complex challenges of the future.
St Helens Local Authority Public Health
The Council’s Public Health department runs a range of services to improve the health and wellbeing of residents, including sexual health services, obesity and weight management, alcohol and substance misuse, and children’s public health.
CIPHA
The Combined Intelligence for Population Health Action is a population health management platform across Cheshire and Merseyside to assist the health and care system manage the Coronavirus crisis.
