For those training to teach in the FES sector, the curriculum is aligned to the ETF Professional Standards (2022) and the Minimum Core (2022).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Partnership Agreement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4abf06cc2f02195ff512939552f87253\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/mentorspace\/partnership-information\/\">This Initial Teacher Education Partnership Agreement and Handbook<\/a> has been written in consultation and collaboration with our partnership, the Faculty leaders and tutors, professional practice leaders, mentors and trainees. The ITTECF is designed to equip all trainees and ECTs with a shared body of knowledge and skills, irrespective of subject or phase.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9e0b646621488729a716cf065fb85da1\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The ITTECF sets out two types of content: \u2018Learn that\u2026\u2019 and \u2018Learn how to\u2026\u2019 statements. \u2018Learn that\u2026\u2019 statements are informed by the best available educational research. This evidence includes practice guides, rigorous individual studies, high quality reviews and syntheses, including meta-analyses. \u2018Learn how to\u2026\u2019 statements are drawn from the wider evidence base, including both academic research and guidance from expert practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8163856a9d83e61a3425442ba70124fd\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The ITTECF is not \u2013 and must not be used as \u2013 a means of assessing trainees and ECTs. Instead, it is an entitlement to training and professional development. Trainees and ECTs will continue to be assessed against the Teachers&#8217; Standards at the end of ITT and induction respectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the ITTECF is Embedded in the EHU Curriculum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a893e1c3d0b3dc39ca57382d3634cc89\" style=\"font-size:18px\">The ITTECF Framework does not set out the full ITT curriculum for trainee teachers. The complexity of the process for becoming a teacher cannot be overestimated and it remains for individual providers to design curricula appropriate for the subject, phase and age range that the trainees will be teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bc54995b1758a4dd34597f0e8ece2a4a\" style=\"font-size:18px\">In designing the curricula, Edge Hill University carefully craft the experiences and activities detailed in the ITTECF&nbsp; &nbsp;Framework into a coherent sequence that supports trainees to succeed in the classroom.
