The team at Research Catalyst are pleased to announce that our application for British Academy funding, submitted in collaboration with Bishop Lincoln University, has been successful.
This will enable us to employ a research assistant from mid-2026 and fund a workshop event in 2027 to develop knowledge about women’s teacher training colleges, those who attended and taught at them, their experiences and their lives afterwards. We will also begin a process of building a national directory of archives in this field. Ultimately, this work will be published in a peer-reviewed journal and findings shared with local history societies.
