Research Catalyst were proud to contribute to a series of free events between 9 November and 18 November 2023 as part of the Edge Hill University Being Human Hub. Our event took place at FACT in Liverpool.

Research Catalyst members at the Being Human Festival

The team gave a series of lively sessions about the women who studied at Edge Hill in its early years (1885-1909) and also a special session on William Bradshaw’s First World War Diary to commemorate the 11 November Armistice Day. The photo above is of the team who were able to attend at the event but, of course, there was more work done by others in Research Catalyst who couldn’t make the sessions on the day. Thank you for the support of Being Human who made it possible. A special thank you to all those who came to see the event.

Being Human is the UK’s national festival of the humanities, run by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. The humanities inspire and enrich our everyday lives; they help us understand ourselves, our relationships with others and the challenges we face in a changing world.
