These two photographs are of a football match played at Edge Hill in the 1990s. We don’t know who the teams are or who the individual players are. However, it is likely that some of them were Edge Hill students at the time.
The Edge Hill archive holds a lot of photographs of football matches and other sports. However, quite often the photographs are not labelled in any way, so we don’t know who features in them or when and why it was taken. It’s always quite exciting when we are finally able to identify people, date something or generally are given more information relating to something we know little about.
