This figure of a boy will have been used by an Edge Hill student who was training to be a teacher and is probably from the 1930s. If you look closely, you can see instructions about how to construct the figure written on the various parts of the body. It is possible that the trainee teacher took it with them to use in the classroom with children. On the other hand, they may have made it as a demonstration of something they might use during a class.
