{"id":671,"date":"2022-08-01T13:16:52","date_gmt":"2022-08-01T12:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/researchcatalyst\/?page_id=671"},"modified":"2023-01-31T13:10:13","modified_gmt":"2023-01-31T13:10:13","slug":"images-from-friendship-books","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/researchcatalyst\/archive-showcase\/images\/images-from-friendship-books\/","title":{"rendered":"Images from friendship books"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are friendship books?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Friendship books were a bit like autograph albums except students could add pretty much anything personal they liked: drawings, sayings, dedications, poems, paintings etc. Friendship books were passed around a graduating cohort so that each member could add their own parting wish in a variety of ways.&nbsp;The student who made the content would usually sign, and often date, somewhere on the page where it fitted with their design. You could construct your own page of a friendship book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery alignwide has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex
