The Early Years Skills for Life PSED programme strives to meet this intention by providing practitioners with the tools to support their children’s self regulation and social skills, through a play based structured suite of resources. Delegates will be able to discover the key research which influenced the development of the programme, including studies on brain research and the assimilation of core behavioural patterns, as well as being introduced to the carefully planned resources included in it. Crucial to the programme is the aspiration of ‘ambition for all’ whereby all children, especially the most vulnerable children are able to work towards their personal goals; improving their own life chances.

During the presentation, each aspect of the programme will be discussed, ensuring that attendees are able to reflect on the importance in meeting the challenges for children in the early years. There will also be the opportunity to find out more about the training provided as part of this programme, including the professional networks created, the significant points discussed and the collaborative approach to implementing the programme within their own settings. Finally, evaluations and reflections from settings and schools who are currently delivering the programme (in the UK and internationally) will be presented. There will be a deliberate focus on impact, highlighting the hopeful moments observed by practitioners & acknowledging the achievement of the programme in providing children with their essential skills for life.

Partnership for Children

Parallel Sessions 3 Thursday 12.30pm

Partnership for Children Initial learnings from Partnership for Children’s Early Years Skills for Life PSED programme.
