Aerosol pollution, in particular, has worrying consequences for\nhuman wellbeing (e.g. negative health effects) and broader environmental\nsecurity (e.g. contribution to climate change). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research project, funded\nby the Royal Society, will exploit new image data from China\u2019s MERSI-II\nsatellite to increase the level of detail and accuracy with which aerosol can\nbe detected, focusing on test areas in both China and the UK.
