By working with CVS to identify projects they wish to undertake and develop with our medical students, EHUMS are creating links that we hope will continue to develop in a mutually supportive way, providing transformative learning experiences for our students by providing support for development of the CVS organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In providing this\nlearning and development opportunity EHUMS is actively utilising pedagogical\napproaches as outlined by the Higher Education Academy, that are particularly\neffective in the context of education for sustainable development, enabling\nmedical students to relate their learning and develop understanding of\nreal-life problems and situations in the context of health and wellbeing.\nParticipatory learning approaches, peer-learning and collaboration &#8211; within and\noutside the classroom, allows students to be exposed to multiple perspectives,\nenabling creative responses to emerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1972\" width=\"439\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/280\/2020\/06\/Research_MedicalSchool_LoveOurCommunity.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 439px) 100vw, 439px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Experiential and\ninteractive approaches are particularly well suited to education for\nsustainable development, particularly where they encourage students to develop\nand reflect on their own and others&#8217; values.
