Founded in February 2020, we bring together passionate individuals who seek to advance the sustainability agenda, both on campus and in our region on four interconnected fronts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Research:<\/strong> Conducting impactful sustainability research across disciplines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Integrating sustainability into curriculum and lifelong learning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Student Engagement:<\/strong> Empowering students to become sustainability leaders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Local Community:<\/strong> Collaborating with regional stakeholders for a sustainable region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our main aims are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Champion Edge Hill&#8217;s sustainability leadership, guided by the United Nations 17 Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs &#8211; <span class=\"ugb-highlight\" style=\"color: #0693e3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/\">https:\/\/sdgs.un.org<\/a><\/span>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster collaborative research that tackles critical sustainability challenges at EHU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Through education equip students with the knowledge and skills to create a sustainable future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Position Edge Hill University as a national and international hub for sustainability expertise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive regional sustainability through strong partnerships and community engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SustainNET grew out of the \u2018<span class=\"ugb-highlight\" style=\"color: #0693e3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.edgehill.ac.uk\/sustainnet\/events\/archive-events\/sustainability-in-the-region\/\">Sustainability in the Region<\/a><\/span>\u2019 event in 2019 which sparked collaboration between the University and local sustainability organisations.
