15 March 2023: Launch of the IJHR Centre
The Centre was launched on 15 Mach 2023. The Centre welcomed guest speaker Prof. Oksana Senatorova to discuss the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on international law.
The R2P Conference 2021
In June 2021, the former Research Unit that preceded the Centre hosted an international conference on the Responsibility to Protect in Theory and Practice, alongside colleagues from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and other partners.

The International Justice and Human Rights Centre was launched on 15 March 2023, at a hybrid event in Creative Edge, Edge Hill University. The Centre welcomed guest speaker Prof. Oksana Senatorova, of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Kharkiv, Ukraine, to discuss the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on international law.
