December 15 – 21, 2019
Focus group dialogue with Local Government Agencies, Private sectors, and local communities by Thai WP Leaders. The team also visit the project’s two study sites: Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Krabi Province in Southern Thailand. The focus groups aimed at identifying concepts and determinants of coastal community wellbeing, at community, family and individual levels, for local people living in the areas vulnerable to hydrometeorological hazards. The qualitative findings help deepen understanding of WP3 quantitative data and provide a helpful framework for dialogue among government and municipal officials, NGOs, community leaders and the community. The framework for dialogue is designed to be adapted to different national contexts beyond the current project, following the model of evidence generation-to-dialogue-to-joint action among stakeholders.
