Ambiental’s approach to flood risk modelling
Ambiental’s specialist modelling experts are working with climate scientists and geomorphologists in WP1 and 2 to develop present day and future flood models for the project study sites.

2nd set of Workshops held at the project’s two study sites: Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Krabi Province
Dr Chalermpol Chamchan, leader of WP6, leads the 2nd set of Workshops at the project’s two study sites: Nakhon Si Thammarat Province and Krabi Province. The workshops, organized under WP6, have disseminated and validated preliminary results from work packages 1 to 4 with stakeholders at provincial level in Nakhon Si Thammarat and Krabi.

The project team has held its second virtual meeting to review project progress and to plan forthcoming activities.

Our project annual meeting was scheduled to be hosted by the Thai team in early April at Mahidol University and would have included visits to the project study sites.

Thai Coast project PI, Dr Kanchana Nakhapakorn, and Dr Pannee Cheewinsiriwat lead a training course on “Geo-information Technology for surveying Coastal changes and Digital Shoreline Analysis”, hosted by Department of Mineral Resources, Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment, Thailand.
