Students’ indirect engagement in KE

Tackling the Blues engaged over 3000 students across Edge Hill University in various wider KE activities, including:

  • • Opt-in certified mental health training with Chasing the Stigma for over 1400 students
  • • Student focused workshops for University Mental Health Day, International Men’s Day, Mental Health week
  • • Training days led by EitC and Tate Liverpool staff with undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their skills in addressing mental health with children and young people in community and school settings.

Factors to consider when offering work-related or enhancing KE activity for students:

  • • Offering a KE work-related opportunities that replicates real-world highly skilled work
  • • Adopting a recruitment process that reflects a real-world experience
  • • Offering other inclusive ways for students who may have limited capacity for long-term project engagement to benefit from KE activity
