Schools who take part in a teacher led intervention – Numbers Count or Readers Count – who meet the Every Child Counts standards, will be recognised as an accredited Every Child Counts school. They are presented with a framed certificate for display in recognition of the schools:

  • provision of teacher led intervention support to children with the greatest difficulty in literacy or mathematics
  • use of the expertise of the Numbers Count or Readers Count teacher to support the teaching and learning of mathematics or literacy across the school
  • provision of lighter touch intervention support for children who have moderate difficulties with mathematics or literacy.
