Mark your calendars!
The Third Lancashire Community Climate Action Forum 2026 is scheduled for Wednesday, 4th March 2026, co-hosted by the University of Cumbria and the Lancaster City Council on the university’s Bowerham Road campus in Lancaster. This event is a crucial gathering for partners, community groups, and individuals dedicated to advancing climate solutions across Lancashire.
The day is designed for collaboration and action, featuring a lively Marketplace where local organisations can promote their vital work and share information. A key part of the Forum will be a series of interactive breakout workshop sessions covering key priorities for Lancashire. These sessions will explore diverse topics, including the development of a sustainable food network (Food Futures), the contribution of the arts and culture sector (LANDS), and the exploration of new democratic methods like People’s Juries (Shared Future). A major focus will be on young people, with workshops dedicated to effective engagement strategies, placemaking with young adults, and equipping them to move from anxiety to agency by resisting climate misinformation. We will also facilitate a key discussion on the exploration of LancsCAN becoming a charity.
