Our speaker at this webinar is Claire Stocks. Claire is a passionate Active Travel advocate. As you will see from her bio she has had an interesting working life. She led the WalkRide Greater Manchester campaign group for many years and now works for Dame Sarah Storey, The Active Travel commissioner for Transport for Greater Manchester. Her talk is entitled “How to make change: sharing learnings from the front line”. We will of course leave plenty of time for questions and you can ask anything about active travel, behaviour change and even “What is it like working for Britain’s most decorated Paralympian”?

This is her biography in her own words:

“I work to make our local communities nicer places to live and work through enhanced walking, cycling and public transport provision.

I’ve got 30 years experience of working in the communications or campaign sector; launching new ideas, kickstarting projects, reaching audiences and figuring out how to solve problems and challenges by working together across teams.

I specialise in fields of sustainable travel, liveable neighbourhoods, walking, cycling, active travel, car-free living, and transport decarbonisation, community engagement, and collective climate action.

As a former BBC media executive & journalist, I have a strong track record and reputation for launching engaging, high-profile audience services during my 17-year-career across various roles in BBC News, BBC Sport & BBC Children’s”.
