Community Action Preston
Climate Action Preston (CAP) is a Friends of the Earth local action group. In 2022, several projects were agreed upon by CAP including Community Energy Preston (CEP), a not-for-profit community group, now about to be Incorporated.
Our primary mission is to reduce carbon emissions by increasing the amount of local renewable energy generation. The community share offer will provide the opportunity for clean green investment with annual returns. Net profits will support local projects such as those dealing with fuel poverty and the energy efficiency of homes. For more information on this scheme click here
CEP offer solar panel arrays to businesses and community organisations across Central Lancashire. We will provide roof top solar installations that will lower electricity costs by as much as 15% as well as slashing carbon emissions.
We’re looking for premises that use over 10,000 units of electricity per year with non-northerly facing pitched roofs in good condition. If you want to send an ‘expression of interest’ in the scheme to get solar panels or want to know more, click this LINK to fill in the form. This will also trigger a follow-up where we do an initial desk-top survey of your roof.
