Lancashire Schools Sustainability Forum
The Lancashire Sustainability Learning Forum, in close association with the Sustainability Learning CIC, helps deliver the Schools Sustainability Conferences NW. The Forum is a platform for sharing skills, knowledge, and experience in promoting education for sustainable development (ESD) in schools and other learning communities in Lancashire. We deliver a large annual conference for primary and secondary school pupils with CPD for adults. We encourage environmental education and learning beyond the classroom, with an emphasis on real world links to jobs and future career prospects. We aim to assist identified learning communities in implementing the Government’s Sustainability and Climate Change Policy as it relates to each setting. We offer support for Sustainability Leads in these settings. This involves Continual Professional Development and INSET training, paid for by the settings. It also promotes the work and learning opportunities of other Forum members.
‘Blackburn Rovers were pleased to be involved in such a fantastic event that highlighted many important issues facing the world today in a child-friendly manner. We look forward to working with the team going forward to help further educate our local community about the positive changes we can make now to improve the lives of generations to come.’ Director Blackburn Rovers Community Trust
