Relaunching SustainNET: co-designing our next 3-year plan: A workshop for staff and students who want a say in our future:
SustainNET is back — and this time, you’re shaping it from the start. After a year on pause, we’re relaunching with fresh energy and a simple ask: help us build the next three years together. Whether you teach, research, study, or keep the university running day to day, you have a stake in what comes next, across environmental, economic andsocial sustainability.
What we’ll be shaping together
- Research: Advancing knowledge and innovation that tackles real sustainability challenges. For REF 2029 and beyond!
- Civic Engagement: Strengthening our partnerships with communities, organisations and industry. To see local needs
- Student Engagement: Empowering students to lead participate and influence change. A core graduate attribute.
- Education for Sustainable Development: Embedding sustainability into what and how we teach. A quality priority for higher education.
What’s in it for you?
✔ A direct voice in setting SustainNET’s priorities for the next three years
✔ The chance to connect with colleagues and students from across the university who care about sustainability
✔ Insight into current sustainability initiatives, research and opportunities to get involved
✔ A collaborative, hands-on session — not a lecture — where your ideas shape real outcomes
✔ Good company, and the satisfaction of helping build something that matters
