Doughnut Economics – from a radical idea to transformative action

The Doughnut envisions an economy that meets the needs of all people within the means of the living planet. It’s a world that is regenerative, rather than degenerative. And it is far more distributive of value and opportunity.  Join Carlota to learn more about the vision and principles of Doughnut Economics and how it’s been put into practice by changemakers all around the world.

Carlota Sanz is the Co-Founder of Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) and DEAL’s Strategic Lead, a role that combines her background in corporate management consultancy with her passion for regenerative economics. Her work focuses on enabling the concepts of Doughnut Economics to be turned into transformative practice, while ensuring they spread wide and with integrity.

Prior to co-founding DEAL with Kate Raworth, Carlota worked for a decade in the financial sector in Spain and the UK, was the co-director of Economy for the Common Good in the UK and studied economic transformation at Schumacher College in the UK.

The webinar was held on Tuesday 30th November 2021.
