    Dr Mike Hartill, Reader in the Sociology of Sport, initiated the EU-funded project ‘Voices for Truth and Dignity’ (VOICE) in 2015. The project, led by the German Sport University, Cologne, is a collaboration between seven European universities plus sport agencies and victim-support organisations.

  • Child protection expert calls for survey into gender based violence in sport

    One of the country’s leading experts in child protection in sport is calling for a UK survey to reveal the magnitude of gender based violence in sport. Melanie Lang, Senior Lecturer in Child Protection in Sport at Edge Hill University, is calling on sports funding bodies to commission the survey.
