Have you ever wondered what happens once you throw something away? We take a look at the journey your household waste and recycling takes. From collection onwards to disposal, sorting and recycling, attendees will come to understand the barriers, opportunities and forthcoming changes to recycling legislation. We take a look at what the future could look like for waste and recycling and how can we move up the waste hierarchy in order to reach net zero targets we need to consider waste and how we can all consume less. Join us to explore how the circular economy can help tackle the climate emergency, giving participants an understanding of how it relates to real-world scenarios and applications.
Joe Pusey (MRWA) worked in the waste industry for two and half years, gaining understanding from both the public and private sector. He is passionate about the circular economy and believes it can work to resolving both the climate emergency but also the social and economic inequalities we face as a society today.
