Dr Anne Oxbrough and Master’s student Natalie Hunt teamed up with Natural England at Ainsdale National Nature Reserve to explore open dune habitat regeneration in pine plantations.
This work, part of Natalie’s research project on the MSc Conservation Management programme, addressed the long term sustainability of this internationally important habitat by investigating the use of grazing and scrub clearance to promote biodiversity.
