Given the sizeable contribution of food production to climate change and the burden of diet related disease on the health system, food is major target for sustainable development research amongst members of SustainNET, here at Edge Hill University.
SusainNET members have supervised numerous PhD and MRes projects to completion.
Facts alone rarely change minds. Closing the gap between knowing about climate change and acting on it means understanding how people think, feel, learn and connect with the stories they’re told.
SustainNET provides a platform for community partners and organisations to work collaboratively with students and their academic supervisors to answer questions that are important to the region.
Good decisions need good evidence. Data, modelling and artificial intelligence are increasingly how that evidence is found, tested and communicated.
SustainNET members have supervised a range of summer internship projects as part of the university’s RIMES opportunity. The RIMES project supports undergraduates from minoritised backgrounds to gain experience of research, via staff led projects, most recently, with external partners
